Hansen Solar Energy now offers a replacement incentive called The Hansen Solar Savings Program, giving you up to $5,000 off your new solar project.

Clean Energy Commercial Solar Tax Credit (For Businesses)

Canada offers a Clean Technology Investment Tax Credit (CT ITC), which provides a refundable tax credit of up to 30% on the capital cost of eligible solar power equipment acquired and put into use by businesses.

Who Can Claim

  • A taxable Canadian corporation (including a taxable Canadian corporation that is a member of a partnership)

  • A mutual fund trust that is a real estate investment trust (including such a trust that is a member of a partnership)

  • Eligible Property: Covers solar photovoltaic panels, inverters, mounting systems, electrical upgrades, and stationary electricity storage equipment (such as batteries).

Nova Scotia Financing

The Solar City program offers property owners in the Halifax Regional Municipality access to innovative solar energy options, which can be financed through a solar collector account with the Halifax Regional Municipality. https://www.halifax.ca/home-property/solar-projects/about-solar-city

The Switch PACE financing program is available to homeowners in select regions of Nova Scotia. Eligible areas include:

  • West Hants
  • Colchester
  • Pictou County
  • Wolfville

Switch PACE provides accessible, low-interest financing to help homeowners complete energy-efficient upgrades with ease.

NB Power, currently offers a $0.20 to $0.30 per watt rebate on solar photovoltaic systems. (Only available through the Total Home Energy Savings Program).

The New Brunswick Provincial Efficiency program offers a rebate based on your system size.

There is currently no financing available through the Federal Government .

achieve net zero where possible. On average our customers see between 60-80%
savings on their electric bill.

Leasing might be
convenient, but buying can provide long term savings and increase your property
value.  Also, many insurance providers won’t cover leased panels.
